China detains Australian on suspicion of endangering security

Chinese authorities said Thursday they are holding a Chinese-Australian writer on suspicion of endangering state security. Yang Hengjun was detained shortly after he flew in to the southern city of Guangzhou from New York last week. Yang went missing on Friday and Australia was not told until four days later.

He is not dual citizen, only Australian. Chinese cannot hold other citizenship without forfeiting their Chinese one. Equally it is impossible for non Chinese natives to obtain citizenship... Even green cards are virtually impossible.
