Elizabeth Warren to pitch new ’wealth tax’

Sen. Elizabeth Warren will reportedly introduce a proposal to tax wealthy Americans who have more than $50 million in assets. Warren’s plan is to impose a 2 per cent tax on Americans with more than $50 million in assets and a 3 per cent tax on those with more than $1 billion in assets. The proposal aims to garner as much as $2.75 trillion over a 10-year period.

i dont think we should be proposing new taxes, yet. We should instead focus on decreasing wasteful spending. I would recommend reducing funding for troops in places like Syria, we have no good reason for being there.

They're so good at coming up with new taxes but very bad at budgeting funds. I certainly don't have $50 million in assets and I doubt I'd be this rich but I'd still be against this. I would much rather see them cut or lower spending. How about we stop giving foreign aid to countries that hate USA? Stop funding useless organizations like the UN? Stop funding programs for illegals? Stop states with programs giving free drug paraphernalia like needles? I can think of so much more but these c*nts will always come up with more taxes!

France already tried this. You know what happened? Millionaires started leaving France because it turns out millionaires can afford to move whenever they want to.

Americans should tax stupid and make this women pay triple

That would only be good for the economy if the new revenue were devoted to paying down the debt. Obama increased taxes but increased spending much faster. We need a balanced budget amendment.

2.75 trillion dolars over a 10 year perion? Seems bullshit to me. Smaller the tax rate the more you gain money.
