95K Noncitizens Registered to Vote in Texas, Say State Officials

Texas has discovered 95,000 non-citizens on the voter rolls going back to 1996, 58,000 of whom have voted in at least one Texas election. The Texas Secretary of State cannot investigate or prosecute illegal activity so he turned the information over to the Texas Attorney General’s Office. Voting without eligibility is a second-degree felony in Texas. Civil rights groups are suspicious of report.
