Most don’t want Trump to declare a national emergency

According to a Monmouth University poll released Monday, only 34 per cent of Americans think President Trump should declare a national emergency in order to use military funding for the wall. 64 per cent believe Trump should not bypass Congress. 71 per cent of Republicans said Trump should use an emergency declaration while 93 per cent of Democrats oppose the action.

It is a terrible precedent to set. I, for one, do not want him to declare a national emergency for this. Only to have it become a regular occurance in the future when a president wants something but is having difficulties getting it done. And it will set a precedent. Sure it is for something republicans back him on now, however in the future it may not be...think about the power you give the guy you like because you are giving that power to someone in the future you may not like.
