Rep. Speier nominates Christine Blasey Ford for JFK Profile in Courage Award

California Rep. Jackie Speier tweeted on Tuesday that she is nominating Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, for the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award. Calling Ford ’a true American (s)hero’, Speier said she sacrificed a lot ’for the pursuit of truth of justice’.

It takes courage to falsely accuse another person, with no proof and no witnesses.

What exactly did she risk again? She got $1million or more of gofundme money. She was a Feminist hero for a good few months. Sure she couldn't remember the small details of where, when, why, and how. But by God she was sure of the who. It's a shame her story kept changing.

This is great. Now all it takes to be considered courageous is to make accusations against a man over 30 years after the supposed incident that no one can corroborate. This is offensive and demeans the people who have shown actual courage.

for what? the "courage" to make false accusations in order to slander a SCOTUS nominee that the people paying her don't like? doesn't sound very couragous to me.

Gotta love the slimy politician trying to ride the coattails of a feminist attempt at steamrolling an innocent man. "Look at me! I'm an ally! Please clap!"

This woman deserves to go to jail for what she did. This is someone who we should never looked up to ever. If this woman is to be admired then I have to question America's intelligence.

Really? We're rewarding someone for levelling false accusations against a man in order to prevent him from acquiring a job? Nice. Go America.

I would like to nominate myself for having the courage to not throw my remote at my TV after watching her testimony. I am hoping my restraint can help motivate all others whose patience was so strongly tested after watching.

What did she risk exactly? Not getting a million dollar book deal for lying under oath?
