Apple signals price cuts to counter dipping sales

Apple has signalled it may lower iPhone prices after its latest set of financial results confirmed dipping sales. The company reported a 5 per cent fall in overall revenue to $84.3 billion in the December quarter. CEO Tim Cook signalled that price rises would be tempered to help drive a recovery. Cook said iPhone prices would be set at local currency rates in future.
