Democrats question Pentagon brass on border troop deployment

Democratic Representative Adam Smith held a hearing on Tuesday with Pentagon officials to shed light on the costs, scope and goals of the troop deployment to the US-Mexico border. Smith dismissed Trump’s assertions of a crisis at the border, saying ’There really isn’t much evidence of that crisis’. Earlier, the Pentagon confirmed a new deployment on top of the roughly 2,350 active duty troops.

“There really isn’t much evidence of a crisis” disregarding the 25 000 000 illegal aliens in the country already of course.

This issue should not be controversial. Legal immigrants are awesome illegal aliens are not. Do you let some a**hole cut in line at the grocery store? All the data we have shows it would save billions of dollars per year. It’s not a perfect solution but well adjusted adults know that perfection is the enemy of the good. We need to do what it takes to defend our borders. If you disagree maybe you should take down the fence in your yard and the front door to your house and seen how that works out for you.

This is the right response since illegal entry points are shifting to more remote areas.
