Uber, Cabify suspend taxi services in Barcelona after new regulation

Ride-hailing companies including Uber and Cabify will suspend their services in Barcelona in response to the government’s imposition of limits on how they operate in the city. The regional government recently ruled that ride-hailing services could only pick up passengers after a 15-minute delay from the time they were booked.

Stupid regulations destroy businesses. Now you have to wait 15 minutes for a regular cab. Great job, retards.

Anti-capitalism strikes again. And they still come hat in hand for VC funding and expect big US banks to buy their bonds.

I'm a legit cabbie. I have a few gripes with Uber. 1 being their total lack of standards when it comes to their background checks. No reason why murderers fresh out of prison should be allowed to drive customers. 2. The money doesn't stay local and all flows back to that shit hole San Francisco. Outside of that, I fully admit their dispatch system is the best.
