5 children killed in single-car crash in Maryland

Five children, aged 5 to 15, were killed in a crash early Saturday morning in Maryland when the vehicle in which they were riding went off the road and struck several trees. None of the children was wearing seat belts, and all five were thrown from the vehicle when it began to spin on the snow-covered ground. Two adults were injured in the accident.

That's horrific. The car is so totaled in the back portion that I don't think seat belts would have helped. 5 kids. The parents must be in hell.

Yeah, I don't see how seatbelts would've helped in a wreck that brutal. They would've just been crushed to death while strapped in their seats.

I don't know which would be worse being flung from a car or crushed by one.
