Bukele wins El Salvador presidency vowing to end corruption

Anti-corruption candidate Nayib Bukele has claimed victory in El Salvador’s presidential election, winning nearly 53 per cent of the vote. The former mayor of San Salvador has vowed to tackle corruption and combat the criminal gangs responsible for one of the world’s highest murder rates. Official results would be declared within two days.

Finally some good new in my neck of the woods. The corruption in Central America is a serious problem, and is rooted in the decades ols corrupt parties in the left and right that have now made political pact of corruption to keep new players out. Hopefully this will change today

End corruption is an impossible task since corruption is linked to power, you can curb and keep it in check though. Hopefully he'll do just that.
