President Trump, in an interview aired on Sunday, said military intervention in Venezuela was ’an option’. Trump added that Venezuelan President Maduro requested a meeting months ago - however, he turned it down.
If you thought Iraq and Afghanistan were bad, how do you think the troops will fare against a force that actually knows how to fight in a dense jungle? No need to do another Vietnam. Just make a public announcement that once they get rid of maduro, the US will be happy to send food rations and other non military support for the next year or two.
Boo on interventionalism.
That's a terrible idea.
