Australia floods see crocodiles roam streets in Townsville

Record rainfall has triggered floods in the Australian coastal city of Townsville in Queensland bringing crocodiles onto the streets. The Australian army has been deployed to deliver around 70,000 sandbags to households. Queensland Police issued a warning for people to stay out of floodwaters, saying if the crocodiles are not a deterrent, the possibility of wading ’in neighbour’s faeces’ maybe.

They didn’t “deliberately” flood homes. The upstream dam became full so they were forced to open the gates rather than have a dam spillover.
