Trump’s first four Mar-a-Lago trips cost taxpayers $13.6 million

President Trump’s four trips to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida over four weeks in March and February 2017, including his summit with the Japanese PM, cost the government nearly $14 million. The report, from the Government Accountability Office, a nonpartisan watchdog found that the US Secret Service spent $396,000 protecting the president’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump in early 2017.

There’s probably a reason to use taxpayer money, whether it be to feed foreign dignitaries or to pay for the travel of extra secret service agents and equipment. Then there’s the cost of running Air Force One, the cost of airlifting the beast. The cost of the resort. Five star meals (the President doesn’t get to choose) room service (for all rooms), beverages, etc.
