Trump calls for ban on late-term abortion

President Trump seized on the remarks by Virginia’s Gov. Ralph Northam to urge lawmakers to pass legislation that bans late-term abortion during his SOTU address Tuesday. ’All children — born and unborn — are made in the holy image of God,’ Trump said. Trump also denounced a recently passed New York law allowing abortions after 24 weeks of pregnancy.

Banning late term and "post birth" abortions is not contravertial, just like banning infanticide isn't contravertial.

I can't understand how medical workers can preform these procedures and sleep at night.

I wouldnt turn over roe v wade as a whole, its done some good from a medical aspect, and would even prevent physicians from Conducting abortions as a last minute procedure to save the mothers life. Roe v Wade is a law with a culture if you get my drift its similar to prohibition, take it away and the act wont stop, sure itll probably lower the amount of abortions but it wont stop them people will seek alternative methods, dangerous methods that could cause a medical influx of women who then suffer from the reprecussions of illegal improper abortions. Id rather impose proper restrictions so long as those restrictions are based on scientific, biological, and medical basises unlike what was happening in Ohio

I don’t get how people think that their child is my financial concern?(or their abortions)

This whole debate would be mute if the supreme Court would just overturn Roe v Wade and put the power back in the hands of the states to decide if they will allow abortions. Furthermore, if a local government doesn't want to have a PP or offer abortions in their town even though the state allows it, they should be allowed to deny it. Everything should be small to large in terms of power.

While I strongly oppose late term abortion as murder, I fail to see how the Federal Government has the authority to pass legislation on the issue. It is not interstate trade so they should wind their necks in.

There's no need to ban it, rather simply place tight restrictions on when it can occur and the procedure in the event that it does. Aka when the life of the mother is at risk. (An actual medical professional can talk about any other potential reasons.)
