Amazon union election results should be set aside, union argues to labor board

Amazon threatened its employees with a mass layoff to sway the result of the recently held election at an Alabama warehouse, the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union alleged in its objection to the National Labor Relations Board. The union, which lost the election, sought to have the result thrown out. Amazon employees in the warehouse overwhelmingly rejected unionization in the election.

Setting aside the result doesn't sound very democratic... 🤔

Guess they're mad they can't extort more money out of more workers via "union dues".

Unions prior to vote: Workers should be free to choose their own future! Hooray for the workers!!!... Unions after the vote: the decision not to unionize should be set aside and the workers should be forced to join the union....for their own good of course.

this is gonna cost some jobs. if the legal battle enues, amazon closes the plant. therein making the grounds for the case moot. it gets thrown out. employees lose jobs, union moves on.

Powerful people would never interfere with an election that threatened their bottom line! What utter nonsense!

Why support Amazon unions when instead we should be supporting the removal of their monopolistic powers and let the market dissolve them.
