The US trade deficit narrowed sharply in November amid declines in imports of cellphones and petroleum products. The trade deficit dropped 11.5 per cent to $49.3 billion. US exports fell 0.6 per cent to $209.9 billion, but imports fell faster, dropping 2.9 per cent to $259.2 billion.
