Crypto exchange locked out $190 million of funds after CEO dies with password

Users of Canadian cryptocurrency exchange QuadrigaCX are unable to access most of their funds after the exchange’s founder Gerald Cotten recently died. A portion of users coins was apparently kept in a ’cold wallet’ and Cotten was the only person with access to the device. The company filed for creditor protection, saying it owes its users $190 million.
