Russia prepping for cyber attack by turning off entire internet

Russia will be shutting off its internet as part of a test to help it defend against cyberattacks. The experiment is part of preparations for a potential cyberwar with the US. Much of Russia’s internet access is still routed through ’exchange points’ in the US. New rules require Russia’s telecoms firms to install ’technical means’ to re-route that traffic through national exchange points.
