NYPD officer killed in apparent armed robbery

Two New York City police officers were shot Tuesday night during an apparent armed robbery at a cell phone store. Both officers were rushed to a hospital; however, Detective Brian Simonsen was pronounced dead. Both officers were struck by bullets from cops outside the store. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Christopher Ransom, was shot multiple times and left critically wounded.

Three letters "PID". Especially in areas with civilians. I feel so sorry for the officers who made this mistake. Even if they keep their jobs, it's gonna haunt them for life.
