South Korea pushes back at Trump’s claims about more money for troops

South Korea pushed back on Wednesday against comments by US President Trump that suggested Seoul had agreed to pay $500 million more toward maintaining US troops in the country. Trump said Tuesday that Seoul had agreed to pay $500 million more to share the cost of keeping roughly 28,500 US troops. A spokesman for the government in Seoul said the figure ’shouldn’t be taken as a fait accompli’.

We need to pull all troops out of Korea, let them defend themselves. If the South Korean's are not smart enough to see that North Korea is a danger and allow the NK's to conquer the much more prosperous and thus much more able to procure the means to defend themselves people of the south then it will be their own damn fault. We have spent over 50 years trying to defend South Korea and they just keep valuing their own freedom less and less... I was in the Bearhunt exercises in 1985 where we were practicing to defend a valley in SK with 17 USMC M60A1 tanks and 5000 SK marines against 4 divisions of NK/Chinese troops (20k-30k) and in the time since the people of SK have continually elected people who fail to comprehend the threat posed by the communists of NK.
