Congress expected to vote Thursday on deal to avert shutdown

House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries said the US House of Representatives will vote on bipartisan legislation to fund the government, including border security, on Thursday. Jeffries added that he expects most Democrats to back the bill.

Trump will sign to avoid the shutdown. Then call national emergency to get the rest of the money, especially if the El Chapo Act fails. That's my prediction, anyway.

I'm actually looking forward to another shutdown. Maybe the tics that infest our bloated government will get the hint and find a productive form of employment.

@chris: US Coast Guard, Secret Service, Border Patrol, IRS... these are "tics" ? The government offers these jobs, the employees don't hire themselves.
