Rare Super Mario Bros. cartridge sells for a word-record price of $100,150

An unopened copy of Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) sold for more than $100,000 in the US. The cartridge was an 1985 sticker-sealed reprint that was only available in the New York and LA to test-launch the NES.

Why? I understand if it sold for a couple of hundred since it's mint condition but 100k? Seriously?
