Indian rail worker dramatically rescues child from getting crushed by train

A rail worker in Mumbai, India is being hailed as a ’superhero’ after he ran over 30 meters towards a fast-approaching train to rescue a child who fell on the tracks accidentally from a train platform. CCTV footage showed the 30-year-old man, Mayur Shelke, rushed to save the boy, 6, when he heard the mother’s cries for help. He rescued the boy just about a second before the train passed the spot.

This is the kind of thing that deserves to be news! Always a joy to hear that people are going out of their way to be nice, but risking your life to save another is truly heroic. This man deserves all the praise for doing what was necessary to save the child.
