Trump signs directive in move to create a US Space Force

President Trump on Tuesday took a step needed for lawmakers to begin the process of creating a US Space Force. Trump signed Space Policy Directive 4, putting in place the foundation for a legislative initiative that could establish a Space Force as a new military service. Establishing the Space Force will require Congressional approval.

People criticize this move, but it just designates satellites for it's own unique branch. Instead of Navy having one, the army having another and vice versa. If their is a defense section on nuclear defense what's wrong with that? It's like making an Air Force when planes are fairly new. Nobody thinks you need it, but look at it now? In a few years it will be crucial.

30,000-45,000 Americans die every year because the can't afford basic healthcare. You know 10x the numbers that died on 9/11. But because it's because of corporate greed and corruption instead of Saudis and planes it's not worth it or something.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter with a half-million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. . . . This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron". -Eisenhower

Uhhhhh but why? We haven't found any actual alien life away from our planet? Unless the force is for like destroying space debree such as asteroids but this is stupid IMO and not a good use of funds.
