Trump admin plans push to end criminalization of homosexuality worldwide

The Trump administration is reportedly planning to launch a worldwide effort to end the criminalization of homosexuality. US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell is spearheading the bid and met in Berlin with 11 activists from different countries earlier this week. The plan is reportedly aimed at denouncing Iran over its human rights record.

Criminalization of homosexuality is the most pointlessly oppressive law you can have. It doesn’t work because being gay isn’t a choice, and it doesn’t do anything to eliminate homosexuality because it’s a naturally occurring phenomenon in mammals. There is no positive benefit to outlawing being gay except to appease bigots (which isn’t particularly positive of you ask me). No one is harmed by another person being gay. Two consenting adults of the same sex having a relationship is no one else’s business.

And just how does America plan to enforce such a law world wide. Are they going to use the persecution of gays as a pretence to declaring war on countries which don't agree. Don't get me wrong, I agree that persecution of anyone because of their sexual preference is utterly wrong, but it is stupid to think you can force western beliefs on the entire world.
