Valve is closing Steam’s video marketplace

Valve has decided to stop selling video content through the PC game marketplace Steam. The company said this was part of a strategy to focus on offering content that is directly related to gaming. While not stated explicitly, it appears that a lack of people buying videos through Steam is the reason the company is shuttering the video section.

Hopefully they learn from this, and don't make make more of the same mistakes. Many other tech companies, (like Google and Microsoft) habitually alienate their users by force feeding features and services nobody asks for.
