Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed over anti-Amazon push in NYC billboard

A conservative advocacy group put up a billboard in Times Square on Wednesday calling out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over Amazon’s recent pullout from a decision to build a second headquarters in Queens. The Job Creators Network (JCN) put up the billboard for one week, calling the pullout ’a major blow to the New York economy’ citing the loss of 25,000 potential jobs.

Yep, because everyone wanted it and AOC was the only one against it and Bezos is terrified of AOC? C'mon this is beyond silly. AOC has no such god like powers. This is just another sad attempt to smear one of the politicians with one of the most supported platforms in America. AOC didn't get the final say in this. AOC didn't force Amazon to run away, in fact no1 did. Many valid concerns were voiced and Amazon was expected to deal with these concerns. Amazon instead pulled the childish "I'm taking my ball and going home" approach. Now Amazon won't bother building, anywhere. How much did Google "need" to build a HQ in NYC? How many rich people live in NYC that could pay much less elsewhere? Why are they still in NYC? Good riddance. NYC just dodged a bullet and has just caused one of the nations largest welfare recipients to leave. Now New Yorkers can use their money to make their own lives better, rather than line the pocketbooks of the richest man on the planet.

There’s thinking outside the box. Then there’s thinking outside of feasibility.

By the time AOC's term ends, NYC might turn into Detroit.
