Stone apologizes for Instagram post showing crosshairs near judge

President Trump’s former adviser Roger Stone apologized on Monday after posting on Instagram a photo of the judge overseeing his trial, with what looked like a depiction of crosshairs near her head. Stone shared the image with a caption noting that Jackson had dismissed charges against Clinton, and was appointed by President Obama. The picture carried a symbol that seemed to represent crosshairs.

It's curious how few of the linked stories actually show the picture. It's literally a logo on a wall, but don't let that get in the way of your imagination. This was so clickbaity and a non-issue. The idiot shouldnt have apologized. Now they have a narrative and implied guilt over what would be seen by most people as a simple wallpaper.

Crosshairs "near" the judge? Can we see the image ffs...

Pathetic.... clickbait as ever, Twitter trolls and MSM jumping the gun as usual before getting all the facts right. The real picture shows the background imagery of the logos pretty clearly. Fucking hell, so glad I dont have Twitter, such a waste of time and life.

Seriously? That’s the X Man logo. Not a fucking crosshair. A crosshair usually has some form of indicator on it of windage or something.

Is this a joke.... has the judge seen the overall image clearly showing its a LOGO.... Heavy if he gets done for that

Stone is an IDIOT for doing that! He knew exactly what he was doing.

Geez, these dishonest headlines. The cross hairs thing has literally nothing to do with Stone violating the gag order, which is the issue with the Instagram post. Credit to tell outlets (like npr) who got it right. Also, Stone is a moron.

I kind of love this man, shame he never became a standup comic

It is not appropriate to show the photo of the judge with the crosshairs off to the side and put her in further danger.

BS the way the article headlined it it sounded like the crosshairs would be on her face like a assassination threat. It's part of the background nothing intimidating about it.
