Wisconsin governor pulls National Guard from southern border

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers on Monday signed an order withdrawing the state’s National Guard troops from the US-Mexico border. Evers’ decision to pull back around 112 troops follows similar moves by Democratic leaders of New Mexico and California. Evers said there was not enough evidence of a national security crisis to justify keeping the troops there.
