Man won favor for buying out a Girl Scout cookie; now he faces drug charges

A man garnered attention online after he purchased $540 worth of Girl Scout cookies so the girls wouldn’t have to stand out in the cold on Friday. However, in another development, the man, identified as Detric McGowan, 46, appeared in court Tuesday facing drug and conspiracy charges. DEA agents were investigating McGowan for months and planned on arresting him long before the Friday incident.

It's amazing how the left news ommitted that he was also a drug dealer. I don't think he's just a bad guy, and genuinely wanted to be a nice guy for those girlscouts, but people are complicated. CBS obviously feels its audience is too npc, to handle the full and complicated truth.

He was trafficking opioids from Mexico. Feeling less and less sorry for him by the second.

He did know that cops are going after him. Now he do have a few brownie points to show in the court.

why is he a "good guy" for buying cookies but a "bad guy" for selling "cookies"?

I'd fucking sue whoever made an article about me spending 540$. What a fucking shame. He just got rid of some insignificant cash laying around.

As usual, the media goes for the feel good story but fails to report on all the facts. Might be a good time to wait until the actual truth comes out before the knee jerk reactions take over society.
