House passes bill expanding background checks for gun sales

The House passed a bill on Wednesday to strengthen background checks for people purchasing firearms. After taking control of the House in November, Democrats made it a priority to bring up the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019. The bill, which passed 240-190, now heads to the Republican-controlled Senate, where it’s unlikely to advance.

It's okay to kill babies as long as a gun is not involved.

'Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) tweeted in support of the bill, “The last time Congress passed meaningful legislation to prevent gun violence was 1994, when I was still in college. That changes today.”' Nope... you still haven't. Ask yourself Senator,; would any of these laws passed by the House today have made any difference to gun crime and/or mass shootings in the past 5, 10 20, 25 years? All your doing is punishing law abiding citizens and virtue signalling to your uninformed voter base.

PF. If you're a law abiding citizen you won't be affected by better background checks so you're not being going punished at all. And you truly believe in 25yrs in which over half a million gun related deaths have occurred better background checks wouldn't have prevented any shootings or suicides?

Background checks are ethical, constitutional, and necessary.

What a tasteless waste of shoes. There are children who can use them yet we’re so entitled to place them in a field to complain about things that aren’t going our way.
