Michigan man charged with running illegal dental practice in basement

Authorities have arrested a man, originally from Europe, for illegally practicing dentistry in the basement of his suburban Detroit home. Leka Gjokaj was arraigned Friday in a court on a charge of being an unlicensed dentist. Prosecutors say the 55-year-old may have overstayed his visa. The felony is punishable by up to four years in prison.

I live in a small poor town, and I know people who are poor and desperate enough to give it a shot. My mates high school bro had dental issues for around a month, and his family just couldn't do anything about it since they couldn't afford insurance and certainly couldn't afford paying a dentist directly.
