Inquiry blames ’pervasive racism’ for unequal treatment of black, Asian troops

The British Govt. and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission have apologized after an investigation found that at least 161,000 mostly Africans and Indians who died fighting for the British Empire during WWI weren’t properly commemorated due to ’pervasive racism.’ All fallen military service personnel are supposed to be commemorated identically. ’We apologize unreservedly,’ the commission said.
