Kroger, a major US retailer, is dropping Visa and may start using Bitcoin

Kroger, who owns many retail, grocery, and gas chains across the US, is dropping Visa as a form of payment for their chain of Smith’s stores, citing exorbitant fees for using the credit card processing service. Anthony Pompliano, a representative for Morgan Creek Digital, is entering into talks with Kroger about using their Bitcoin Lighting Network instead.

I'm all for ditching visa and hell all forms of credit cards for that matter, but why go to Bitcoin? Are we trying to give ALL our money to a couple of corporate entities and mostly the government of China and a few other Asian countries. As far back as 2017 China was in control of over 30% of the entire market cap of Bitcoin and has extended it's stranglehold since. Well over 70% of Bitcoin is in corporate or government holdings currently with only 4 million coins left to mine and massive government and corporate ASIC mining farms working tirelessly to horde them to garner the largest amount of market influence they can. They are already in complete control of value. To get involved with Bitcoin is the only option dumber than doing nothing at all right now which is sad because the original vision was so good.
