After Chauvin verdict, Congress ready to try changing policing laws again

Encouraged by the guilty verdict of ex-cop Derek Chauvin in the murder of George Floyd and President Joe Biden’s ’not enough’ remarks, Congress will try again to change America’s policing laws. Lawmakers from both the Republican and Democratic parties are negotiating behind the scenes to arrive at a compromise in the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act for a sweeping overhaul of policing laws.

I agree. Democrat states should abolish their police, Republican states can keep theirs and look after their voters. Then let the people decide where they want to live. If they want cops, they'll move to a red state. If they don't want cops, they'll move to a blue state.

Dear Federal Legislators: fix the economy now! Ignore everything else you stupid bastards. Signed, anyone with a brain.

If anyone can’t see that is an attempt to end local policing and have a federal police force. The DOJ are now investigating Minneapolis’ police force for “systemic problems”. Mark my words, it won’t be long until the idea is pushed that these municipalities can’t be trusted to police their own communities and the Feds need to step in.

This is an issue nobody wants to fix. Kind of like immigration control. We are a land of laws..whatever is needed to fix the issue, is already on the books, but not enforced.

Remove qualified immunity. Don't spend half the city's budget on policing.

About time. The pigs need to be kept under control.

Just what we need, liberials deciding the future of law enforcement. Why not just put Antifa and BLM in charge of our cities. Since their already controlling some of our cities.
