BBC cuts episodes after backlash against controversial YouTube star Mark Meechan

The BBC dropped several episodes of an upcoming debate TV show, ’The Collective,’ after the guest star for those episodes was fined £800 for teaching his dog how to do a Nazi salute. Mark Meecham, who publishes YouTube videos under the name ’Count Dankula’ taught the dog to salute to the command ’gas the Jews.’ Although fined in April 2018, he has yet to pay the fine.

Cowards. His humor is crude and not for everyone, sure. But Dankula did nothing wrong. Ah well, on with the slow death of oldmedia.

The real Nazis are the legislatures and judges that think these laws infringing free speech are acceptable.

After the Daily Mail wrote a hitpiece full of lies about him, the BBC edited out Dancula, but that was not enough. A small group of activists made sure the entire panel is shut down. Not even gonna give him the chance to defend himself. They are scared...

It's sad that they think a Nazi quote should qualify him for his own Mad Lad series... He has a sort of stand up bit he did on his channel now though, so it's good to see him branching out.

BBC Scotland you are pathetic.

The judge wilfully ignored the context of the action, being a joke, to get the conviction. This app has committed the same level of crime by that ridiculous standard.

While the text is nore or less factually correct, I don't see mentions that his nazi pug video was joke anywhere. The video literally starts with Dank explaining that it is a joke meant for his girlfriend and nothing more.

I honestly think it's insensitive; however, he should apologize and move on. I wouldn't remove him from opportunities through.
