FBI head Christopher Wray says can’t let criminals hide behind encryption

FBI Director Christopher Wray said Tuesday in an interview at the RSA conference in San Francisco that encryption should not provide an ’unfettered space’ for criminals to hide behind. Wray, a former assistant attorney general in the US Department of Justice, said that while the FBI is not seeking backdoors in electronics, encryption needs to have limitations.

I guess the right to privacy is a foreign notion to this idiot. If he truly believes what he says why doesn't he start by live streaming every interaction he has on the internet. We shouldn't let him hide behind the internet doing god knows what! We need to know for "safety" reasons.

We have witnessed gross misconduct at the highest levels by Obama's FBI, so why trust the FBI with a key to all encrypted communication??

Don't worry guys we can totally 100% trust the FBI. It's not like they haven't ever been caught dirty in any way. Like in the pocket of drug gangs warning them or raids. Or having conversations that sound like they were going to circumvent the election cuz they didn't like the candidate. Or spying on a presidential campaign/candidate without alerting the courts to "accidentally" recording someone not a part of the warrant. Or failing to check a dossier given to them by political opposition to make sure it wasn't just op-ed research.
