Alabama judge allows teen to sue on behalf of aborted fetus

A teenager in Alabama is suing an abortion clinic for terminating the life of his unborn child against his wishes. On Tuesday, an Alabama county court recognized the aborted fetus, ’Baby Roe’, as a plaintiff in the lawsuit. Ryan Magers, 19, claims his girlfriend got a medicated abortion in February 2017 when she was six weeks pregnant, even though he urged her not to terminate the pregnancy.

It often bothers me how men are given no weight or say in the whole issue of abortion. 'Women's right to choose' leaves men and dads completely out in the cold. It's terrible that the general accepted view of men is that they aren't as interested in their children as women are, and therefore have less rights as parents. So many men are upstanding decent family-focused people who love and treasure their kids, and NOT just after they're born. And for the men who aren't naturally inclined to be responsible dads, surely telling them that they have no importance in their baby's existence during pregnancy is one way to give them tacit permission to not step up and be a parent. I can't imagine the pain and anger of a man who wants his baby to live, but has to stand aside and let it be murdered because it's the 'woman's choice'.

Good. You can't tell men that they can't have a say in abortion then turn and tell us that we have a responsibility as fathers to take care of the child. It doesnt work like that.

Feminists should be happy. Men and women should have equal say in their unborn children’s lives!

The legal basis of this: Clinic didn't do a background check to see who else had a voice in the abortion, yeah there is no proper legislation about that. But, the skank did the shady thing to sneak up to the clinic. Both, clinic and girl are to blame, although to me the woman has at least 85% of the guilt here and should also be taken to court if the guy was already starting a legal process to protect his soon to be newborn.

At 6 weeks it an embryo, not a fetus and definitely not a baby. Only 37% of all zygotes make it to full term, 0-1 week zygote stage, 1-8 weeks embryo stage. This case is another example of why we need tort reform. The kid and his lawyers should have to pay all costs when they lose this frivolous case. Wonder what anti-abortion group is behind this and how much are they paying this kid.

Because what kind of say does the FATHER have for his child? Oh right. Not his body. So the mom gets to kill the life they created together - the body that also IS NOT HER body. Nothing makes me sicker. And I will always miss my own aborted child, and I will always know it was a state sanctioned murder, and that the mother was convinced it was only a cluster of cells. (S)he should be 14 today. I wish I’d had the same option as this young man does. More power to him. Enough of this innocent slaughter.

The picture of the ultrasound with this story is rediculous, misleading, and emotionally manipulative. She was only 4 weeks along, her fetus looks nothing like that. Please change this to a relevant picture and stop trying to emotionally manipulate people.

Outstanding. Women don't have the right to kill a living being in their body, bc it isn't their body. Fathers are getting tired of being the cash cow of the single mother state, where men are used for alimony and rarely get custody, while these strong independent women get to choose whether or not to kill the child, or use it for welfare and child support. If women are equal, divorce equals quitting a job where you don't get a paycheck, and if women get to hold men accountable for the children they created, they don't get to murder the children they didn't create on their own.

There is no excuse for this. Rape, incest, or supposed medical necessity consist of between 2 & 5% depending on the source. The vast majority of abortions are irresponsible women using murder to shirk the consequences of their actions. The left either needs to make the arguement that personhood begins at the 2nd trimester, and compromise there, or just admit that women's irresponsible decisions justify murder, bc the dumbass arguments about conservatives needing to bail women out to have a say, make as much sense as saying that conservatives have to shelter the homeless to have a say in whether or not they're gassed. This mass murder needs to stop, and the dialectical materialism of the left must end.

This is a good decision made by that Alabama judge. Men should be allowed to have a say in this just as much as women do.
