Taiwan asks US for new fighter jets to defend against China

Taiwan has made a formal request to the US for new fighter jets to defend itself against increasing Chinese threats. China has stepped up diplomatic and military pressure on Taiwan since President Tsai Ing-wen took office in 2016, including staging a series of military exercises near the island. The island currently has 326 fighter jets, all in service since the 1990s.

Europe yesterday, America today, China tomorrow if the US fails to unite and the Dems have their way. Many in the free Asia are hoping for MAGA for fear of the Chinese. America is the lesser evil to many.

Easy... Sell them the f***ing planes. We need to arm and defend the liberal democracies of the world, particularly against communist China. Hell, I'll wager that dangling weapon sales in exchange for modest human rights reforms might change the tune of quite a few autocratic nations hostile to the red dragon.

Nope sorry. You’re way too sympathetic to China and we can’t risk the leaks.

While we have to be careful this is good news. Get Korea, Japan, Taiwan and maybe the Philippines to surround China. Talk to Putin too the pak-su57 is the best fighter jet in the world.
