Saudi Arabia faces first-ever censure at UN rights forum

European countries will urge Saudi Arabia this week to release detained activists and cooperate with a UN-led probe into the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The joint statement, due to be read on Thursday, comes amid growing concern about the fate of detainees as identified by watchdog groups. Iceland has led the initiative, winning support from European countries.

Saudi Arabia has no intention of changing its ways. This also yet another example of how useless the UN is and that it’s nothing more than a tool to keep stepping the world to a one world communist government. UN charter was modelled after the USSR charter, same goal.

The UN is controlled by small countries. each country gets a vote. the USA gets the same number of votes as Haiti. The UN is dominated by small Muslim States. they get to decide the agenda. hence why Israel gets sanctioned all the time and noone else does. the only reason SA got it, is because some of the Muslim block went against them. the UN is useless because of the way it does voting. your number of votes should be dependent on population AND economy. not just borders. why does Ireland get a vote and not Texas or California? Ireland is a member of the EU? Why not one EU vote? the system is terrible.

But Europeans will still by the oil from the Saudi, so why does this matter? all of these nations are perfectly content with doing business with Russia, China, Vietnam, Iran etc. Ripley's wax self righteous on your iPhone made by child labor.
