Venezuela’s government says ’national blackout’ a result of ’sabotage’

A major power outage hit Venezuela on Thursday. President Maduro’s government blamed the cause of the outage to be ’sabotage’ at a hydroelectric dam that provides much of the country’s power. Described by some as a ’national blackout’, the power failure affected the capital of Caracas as well as 15 of the country’s 23 states.

Now is it sabotage, or the Soviet definition of sabotage? One is real, the other is blaming others for your own failings in maintaining equipment and training...

Maduro will do anything in his power to avoiding taking responsibility for anything. He loves using the US as a scapegoat.

Such a great example of their problems. The reason this was so debilitating is because power from one plant supplies most of the country. They fail to diversify once again. Part of the reason for their collapse is their failure to diversify out of oil exporting. If they're would just put some eggs in a different basket they wouldn't be having such dire issues.
