Finland’s government resigns

Finland’s government resigned on Friday after ditching plans to reform the healthcare system, throwing the country into a political limbo. The president approved Prime Minister Juha Sipila’s resignation and asked his government to continue as a care-taker government until a new cabinet has been appointed. The collapse of the government comes just one month before parliamentary elections are due.

So, the cost is too great and they are proposing: Encouraging people to work more by: -Making people work until they are 73 -Cutting unemployment benefits -Cutting taxes Reducing costs by: -Bringing the private sector into the equation. Just to make sure I understand, people should work, less government dole, less taxation, and private companies should be involved. Can we learn from this and stop the trajectory we are going on?

and nothing happened. Finland is one of the most stable and has highest happiness index ratings...this caused zero turmoil. My cousin lives there. This happened and most of Finnish population shrugged and continued their day.

Who’s gonna pay for your socialist retirement benefits Gen Y? Not the children you are not having because they don’t fit into “muh lifestyle”. You think mass unskilled immigration from incompatible cultures will save you? Ok...

Can the U.S. government resign? I'll be happy to except their resignation. No need for a caretaker government. We got this.

As the govt should. ANY country "trying" to adopt ANY policy or business practices from the United States should be shut down by their citizens. I live in the US and nothing here is good. Corporations and the rich control LITERALLY everything here included what many Americans think. The world cannot afford any more rich people corrupting govts. The world is MAXED OUT on greed and corruption from the wealthy people. Do nothing and life will continue to get worst for all living things.

Lol... it can do that? We should tell Westminster; it could retire to a nice plot of land in the Lake District or something. The poor thing has been under a lot of stress for the past several centuries.

They're only resigning, because they said that if they can't results, they will leave power. "Tulos tai ulos". Well there's about a month to the next election. So no PM Sipilä didn't eat is word, even though with most things he promised he did. This just gives them some time to focus on campaigning. This is not a crisis of any kind.
