Pope Francis decries ’depraved’ anti-Semitism

Pope Francis on Friday branded anti-Semitism part of a wave of ’depraved hatred’ sweeping some countries. Francis also reiterated that it was sinful for Christians to hold anti-Semitic sentiments because they shared a heritage with Jews.

I'm IMMEDIATELY reminded of one of Christopher Hitchens final debates against the Catholic Church when he points out the church assisted the rise of Nazi Germany. That event kinda fucked the Jews. I'm all for unity, but if they denounce anti-semitism but not islamaphobia, that ain't right.

This coward should have tried preaching that when he was visiting the Arabic Peninsula, would have solved more than one problem.

If so Christians have a common heritage with Muslims too.

Hmm, I would be curious to know how holding a view seperate from doctrine, dogma or magisterium is sinful. That fly's in the face of what I'm being taught in moral theology during my RCIA. Even holding a view contrary to doctrine is more heretical than it is sinful.
