US adds just 20,000 jobs in Feb; Unemployment dips to 3.8 per cent

Hiring tumbled in February, with US employers adding just 20,000 jobs. This was the smallest monthly gain in nearly a year and a half. The sharp slowdown in hiring might have been worsened by unseasonably cold weather. It follows a record 311,000 jobs in January, the most in nearly a year. The unemployment rate fell to 3.8 per cent last month from 4 per cent in January.

All these left-wing Publications like Vox are so desperate to paint this that's bad news for the economy. labor participation rates are higher than they were under Obama, far fewer people were laid off after the holiday season than normal, and worker wages rose as unemployment still fell. It's not the economy stupid!

That is almost as low as unemployment can ever get! Any lower and companies would start finding it almost impossible to fill jobs. It’s amazing that media are critical of this. So sick of this rubbish and negative spins put on everything attached to Orange Man.

So we are at full employment as defined by economists or has that measure changed since I've last looked up definitions and data? It used to be right around 5% last I looked but I suspect that's been adjusted by now.

The unemployment rate is the lowest it’s been in 50 years! 3.7% in a country the size of the USA is extraordinary. That’s the real story.

This just in, with a couple hundred thousand unfilled jobs we may be meeting job market saturation. Why is the left so eager to find issues in the economy?

Now they just gotta make those jobs a liveable wage and we'll be on the right track. Good news is good but its hard to give a pat on the back when most still live paycheck to paycheck and would be wrecked by just a $1K emergency. The USA is the richest nation in the world and now supposedly everyone can have a job. No excuse for 45k people to die annually due to lack of health care.
