Numbers continue to dwindle for France’s ’Yellow vest’ protests

Turnout at the ’yellow vest’ protests across France fell on Saturday to its lowest level yet. The protesters were joined in Paris by others donning pink tops, as child-care workers turned out against a reform of their unemployment subsidies. Some 28,600 people turned out overall, a far cry from the nearly 300,000 who blocked roads and marched in cities in mid-November.

I got to give the French this, when they get pissed they stay pissed. Not like our protests that fuck off after about a week or two. No, the french are angry and they’re not stopping until they get what they want.

I can’t believe the ruling elite are surviving this sustained movement. In much of the western world, the governments would have fallen under the same pressure. Makes me think that maybe the Press are toadies of the establishment in France and are letting the government off the hook.

Surprised the French goverment hasn't already given up, they are so historically predisposed to doing that.
