Coast Guard officer pleads not guilty to weapon and drug charges

A Coast Guard lieutenant from Maryland accused of stockpiling weapons and plotting to attack Democratic politicians and TV journalists pleaded not guilty to weapon and drug charges on Monday. Authorities arrested Christopher Paul Hasson, 49, on February 15 and seized his stash of 15 firearms and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition.

Those charges seem to be a stretch, but there must be more to the story Besides, I don't see anything indicating that he never had a prescription for tramadol (pain killer); prescription that over a year old can be considered unauthorized/ illegal.

"Hasson hasn’t been charged with any terrorism-related offenses." So it's just the guns and Tramadol then and some salacious list of Democrats to spice things up and get the clicks going? Also, gun "silencers" is such a BS term, get yourself to a firing range or watch a YouTube video and see how "silencing" they actually are.
