Modern airplanes ’too complex to fly’, says Trump

Addressing the fatal crashes involving two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircrafts, President Trump suggested going back to a ’simpler’ time because planes are becoming too technical for pilots to fly. ’Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT’, Trump tweeted which highlighting the technical complexities. The FAA on Monday said it had no plans yet to ground the plane.

“Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly. Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT. I see it all the time in many products. Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better, I don’t know about you, but I don’t want Albert Einstein to be my pilot. I want great flying professionals that are allowed to easily and quickly take control of a plane!” It's a criticism of all the fly-by-wire systems that in case of failure leave very few options to pilots, but I guess the left needs to quote-mine for their life!
