Spotify accuses Apple of breaching EU antitrust rules

Spotify has filed a complaint with EU antitrust regulators against Apple, saying the company unfairly limits rivals to its own music streaming service. Spotify said that Apple’s control deprived consumers of choice and rival providers of audio streaming services to the benefit of Apple Music. Central to Spotify’s complaint is the 30 per cent fee Apple charges content-based service providers.

I don't see the problem. Apple are putting their own apps in their own store. Maybe Spotify should create a mobile phone operating system and handset and..... Etc. "Extra fees" and the like are not allowed, though.

I don't think Apple cares about EU anti-trust laws. That being said, Spotify may have a point here.

Apple’s development plan: 1) Make platform for phone camera & music apps 2) Let other companies make your platform ubiquitous for use of said apps. 3) Push successful apps off of your platform and charge for your own copycat apps that suck but what are they gonna do? Make their own platform and popularize it in the same way Apple does? Apple sucks (experience: presently using Apple device to write this because the company I work for likes them...)
