New Zealand PM promises gun law reforms within 10 days

New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern said on Monday that her cabinet had made in principle decisions around the reform of gun laws following the mass shooting in Christchurch. Ardern said ’that within 10 days of this horrific act of terrorism we will have announced reforms which will, I believe, make our community safer’.

Yes disarm your citizens. The guns he used were not civilian grade in any case. But who cares about that anyways.

I'm sure terrorists will follow these laws, that's exactly what terrorists do afterall!

Change the name to New Soft-Target-land while at it. The police didn't arrive on time then, it won't arrive on time next time.

Not to be sexist about it, as there are many female leaders that this doesn't apply to, but it strikes me this lady is legislating using feelings as motivation rather than fact.... can't be having that....vote her out asap....

Don't go down Australia's road NZ. What she doing is more than just a knee jerk reaction it's criminal. Just like our government. guns have never since they were invented killed anything.

Great Rushing into things without a proper investigation. Quite like this government, making large decisions without any planning or thought. Edit: I have no problem with gun control what annoys me is that 10 days is not long enough for a proper investigation and to create laws which will stop this from happening effectively.

Of course they do. Don't address the ACTUAL problem just make more things illegal. That method is working great in the United States. Oh wait, it's not working at all. Gee I wonder how this was so predictable. Welp looks like New Zealand has joined the rest of the psychopath wealthy elite to ban guns. Here we go again. Don't focus on the WHY people commit these acts just ban weapons until the mentally ill and massively brainwashed start stabbing everyone with forks and butter knives. Stupid people make stupid leaders. STOP ELECTING THE RICH OR THIS WILL KEEP HAPPENING!

Ban guns, fine, now you'll get, mass stabbing, bombings, and trailers ramming pedestrians on parks... as if there weren't other million ways of killing someone.

“Within 10 days” shows it’s about disarmament and not for public safety.

Ardern has proved herself a far stronger willed and determined leader than many across the world. She even seems a lot more humane. Unlike some of the fools in the west who only dilly dally around every decision

Keep playing his game: Won’t your attack result in calls for the removal of gun rights from Whites in the United States? Yes, that is the plan all along, you said you would fight to protect your rights and the constitution, well soon will come the time.   Won’t your attack result in calls for the removal of gun rights in the New Zealand? The gun owners of New Zealand are a beaten, miserable bunch of baby boomers, who have long since given up the fight. When was the last time they won increased rights? Their loss was inevitable. I just accelerated things a bit.   They had long since lost their cities, take a look at Auckland. Did you really expect they would not also lose their rights?

Good luck with that. Things will only get worse.

Because the ones on the books already worked a treat. Funny thing with law breakers is that they don’t tend to care about laws. You don’t need more laws than the one against murder.

yes, because it was 1, 2, 5, or 10 more laws that would have prevented this act. Forget that murder is already illegal.
