New DNA tests may have helped unveil Jack the Ripper’s identity

New DNA evidence points to a 23-year-old Polish barber as the likely killer who roamed the streets of Victorian London and has come to be known as ’Jack the Ripper’. The identity of the killer has remained a mystery for over 130 years. Tests by scientists on DNA samples taken from a blood-stained shawl from one of the victims purports to show that Polish immigrant Aaron Kosminski was the killer.
